The osmotic action produces an outflow of body fluid which assists the removal of wound bacteria, endotoxins, debris and slough, providing a cleaner wound, rapidly removing malodourand helping to reduce the inflammatory response, oedemaand exudate levels. Granulation and epithelialisation are enhanced through provision of the optimal healing environment.
